College Teams raise over $2,000 for the Cancer Society
24 hours, 2 teams and 1 cause. The Relay for Life 2011.
On the weekend of the 12th & 13th of March, two school teams (the Mini Manas and the Mana Masters) comprising 45 students and staff members travelled to Palmerston North to participate in the annual 24 hour Relay for Life event. At noon, with the sun beaming, the first team members took to the track carrying the two batons that would continue to circulate around the track.
Our own Local Hero
Part-time Engineering teacher Mr Wayne Evans is one of five Local Heroes from the Manawatu to be awarded New Zealander of the Year Local Hero medals. Wayne was one of over 200 nominated from the region.
