Recent Events:
InterHouse Cross Country
Provisional placings for the Cross Country have Morris House taking out the competition with an impressive performance, in particular in the Senior Boys grade. Placings and the top three finishers in each grade can be found here.
Relay For Life 2012
This year's Relay For Life event was another passionate and emotional tribute to those affected by Cancer. With a huge number of staff and students involved, Manawatu College was well represented and every single person involved was able to share something unique about their experience. (More...)
Inter-House Athletic Sports
The annual Inter-House Athletic Sports were held on Wednesday February 29th and completed the following Friday afternoon. It was a close competition throughout the entire event and proved to be a successful expose of athletic talent. Once the updated results are confirmed we will post the final standings.
Inter-House Swimming Sports
It was a fantastic day of swimming at the Foxton Pools for the annual Inter-House Swimming Sports. Morris House proved to be too strong in the water but the competition was intense the whole day. The list of swimming champions is being created and will be uploaded soon. |

Mary O'Neill impresses in Speech Competition
Year 12 student, Mary O'Neill, competed in the 2012 National Bank Cyrill Bassett V.C. Speech Competition held at the Wanganui RSA. In a very tough and competitive field, Mary performed exceedingly well, earning herself a third place finish. We congratulate Mary on her success and students will have an opportunity to hear her speech at an ANZAC Assembly later this year. HOD English, Mrs Belk, accompanied Mary, and submitted this report.
